39. McMinnville Tower

'McMinnville Tower'

oil on gessoboard

I have a little obsession with grain elevators - and this one in McMinnville, Oregon, is one of my faves.
This building has had several different uses over the years, and currently
houses a retail store selling food for livestock and pets.

It's been two weeks since I've completed a painting, and that can be discouraging! But, I am quickly reminded that I have three little guys that won't always be here needing their mom -- and painting can wait.
I'm just so very thankful that they - and their busy dad - are understanding enough to let me squeeze it in as much as I do.
And that sleeping toddlers snuggle so nicely in my non-brush-holding hand. :)
