264. King of the Road

There's a little spot along our highway where retired pieces of construction equipment congregate.
On a sunny day, the yellows and reds and rusts and shadows are just so warm and lovely, and I've been meaning to stop and take photos for years now.
Late this summer, this little fella appeared at the front of the pack and I was done in.
I'm so glad he wasn't sold before I got a chance to get pictures! Isn't he sweet?
Wouldn't it be fun to shine him back up and hit the road?
Ah, someday. :)

I'm so not ready for Fall, but sights like these make the transition a little easier.
(Spotted outside a Fred Meyer store, thanks Freddies! Lol.)

262. Sea Mist in the Forest

'Sea Mist in the Forest'

Wowzers, I sure keep picking some busy compositions!
This is from a photo I took last week on an afternoon jaunt to Ecola State Park near Cannon Beach, OR. The rest of the area was clear, but this little ridge of rain forest-like trees was all socked in, - it was so cool! The beautiful Pacific Ocean is just through that little wall of mist and fog.

I'll be honest, this was a challenge, one of those that I could keep fiddling with for days and days, so...I'll call it done. :)

Thanks for viewing my work!
