35. Reflecting Elm

I had a chance to cruise nice and slowly around Lake Sacajawea in Longview, WA, the other day -- just me, my camera, my head cold and my youngest boy sleeping soundly in the back seat.

For such a beautiful fall day, there didn't seem to be a lot of people around, so I was able to mosey along, parking randomly, and stepping out here and there to get a better photo of the leafy sunshine.

At one point, the wind picked up and elm leaves just rained down all over us and the shady street. It was so very peaceful and warm and lovely.

This little fellow landed on my car and I had a great time painting him.
