329. Summer Gold

'Summer Gold'
6" x 6"
Oil on gessoboard

I live in an evergreen part of the world, and it's still amazing to me to have green grass all winter long. All that lusciousness makes gray, cloudy winters completely tolerable, - enjoyable in fact! (Maybe because I'm still comparing it to the frigid Minnesota winters of my childhood. đŸ˜‰)

Green, gray, white; I appreciate all the shades of winter, - but the warm hues of summer are my favorite. This little scene is August in our neck of the woods. Golden fields, hazy purple ridges, blue skies... Aah, summer. ❤
