"Clothesline"

"Clothesline" - mural, laundry room wall

This is where the college education came into play - put all those perspective drawing classes to work! It was a lot of fun and I still like it - especially the reflections of the boats. I've learned a lot about mixing colors since this painting (even though I did have a class on that in college too) -- to make a darker shade of a color, black is rarely the first color I'll add. These colors could all use a little more depth, they're a bit too transparent and cartoony.

I still think this is a really fun idea for a laundry room. I also painted the entire room with the sorta rustic faux finish that you see around the window. It was a big room!
